If you’ve listened to Drew Garabo Live for any length of time, you probably know I support the LGBTQ+ community. I truly believe that love is love, and as long as you’re not harming anyone or involving kids or animals...you should be encouraged to find romantic happiness.
That said, is there anything wrong with what this diner is doing?
If I owned a restaurant, which used to be a dream of mine, I would focus on making great food in a fun environment for every person with money to spend. Politics, social issues, my own personal biases...these would never stand between me and trying to keep my restaurant afloat.
However, these restaurant owners are drawing a line in the cultural sand. Is it wrong? Should it be illegal? That’s not for me to decide. As distasteful as some may find it, if it’s your business then you have the right to decide what type of clientele you’d like to include or exclude. Evolution is not mandatory.
